It’ll Be A Blue Christmas
Young actor Dylan Blue helps sabotage a Christmas display in Deck the Halls, but how does he really feel about the holidays? Zeeks has the scoop…
Zeeks: How did you get started in acting?
Dylan: I’ve always wanted to act, and I heard about an open audition in New York City. So I went (into the agencies) and a few were interested in me. The rest is history.
Zeeks: Tell us about your role in Deck the Halls.
Dylan: Carter is a 10-year-old boy having an (early)-life crisis. He’s practically begging for his dad’s attention. He’s so desperate to have a good time with his dad that he becomes part of his plans to take out the neighbor’s lights. In the end he learns the true meaning of Christmas.
Zeeks: You look like you’re having a blast in the movie. Was it fun?
Dylan: Yes. It was one of those Kodak moments I’ll cherish forever.
Zeeks: What’s it like working with Matthew Broderick and Danny DeVito?
Dylan: It was a long-time dream to work with the man who brought us Ferris Bueller, and Danny was always the funny man on the set. He always made me laugh.
Zeeks: Does your family decorate the house for Christmas? Do you have a favorite Christmas decoration?
Dylan: We put up a few lights around the house during the holidays. I once made a delicious gingerbread house.
Zeeks: What do you like best about Christmas?
Dylan: I love skiing during my Christmas break and spending time with friends and family.
Zeeks: What’s the best Christmas present you ever received?
Dylan: That’s a tough one, but I’d probably have to say my dog.
Zeeks: Best and worst thing about making a movie?
Dylan: The acting is my favorite thing about it. The worst thing is saying goodbye to all the friends you made during the movie.
Zeeks: Any tips for aspiring young actors?
Dylan: Never give up, and never give in. Don’t let rejection get you down. Just always do your best.
Zeeks: Do you go to a regular school, or take classes on the set?
Dylan: I’ve always gone to a regular school, and I always hope it will be that way.
Zeeks: Any pets?
Dylan: I have a Bichon/Westie Terrier named Biscuit.
Zeeks: Are you working on any new projects right now?
Dylan: I have a few projects in the works, but nothing is official just yet.
Dylan Delectables:
Video game: The Simpsons Hit & Run
Book: The Last Book in the Universe by Rodman Philbrick

Food: Mac-’n-Cheese
Food you’d NEVER eat: Brussel sprouts!
Subject in school: I love studying American History, so I’d have to say Social Studies
Vacation Spot: Vancouver is definitely one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to
