The Invincible Iron Man
MPAA Rating: PG-13 for action violence and some sensuality.
Release date: Jan. 23, 2007
Marvel Studios is invincible with this awesome follow-up to the popular Ultimate Avengers: The Movie and Ultimate Avengers 2: Rise of the Panther, released on DVD last February.
The Invincible Iron Man, based on the Marvel comics character, tells the story of billionaire inventor Tony Stark and how he came to be Iron Man. While raising the ruins of a long buried Chinese kingdom, Tony digs up a little more than he bargained for.
He unleashes an ancient prophecy that foretells the resurrection of the Mandarin, the emperor of China’s darkest and most violent dynasty. In order to battle the destructive force, Tony creates an armored suit infused with high-tech weaponry.
Now he must battle the Mandarin’s henchmen, the Elementals — four magical warriors who harness the power of the elements earth, water, wind, and fire — with deadly chemistry.
Only time will tell whether the Iron Knight, as he’s known in the prophecy, is strong enough to battle these evil forces determined to destroy the earth.
This is a smart, action-packed movie with super animation that really brings the Iron Man character to life. It resembles the Cartoon Network’s “Justice League” and “The Batman,” series, only kicked up a few hundred notches. A must-see for any Marvel fan.
