Employee of the Month

EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH

MPAA Rating: PG-13 for crude sexual humor and language
Released in Theaters: Oct. 6, 2006

Vince Downey (Dax Shepard) and Zack Bradley (stand-up comedian Dane Cook) both work at a massive Costco-like store. But their careers have taken drastically different paths.

In the 10 years Vince has been working there, he’s advanced to head cashier and has won 17 consecutive “Employee of the Month” awards, thanks largely to his willing sidekick Jorge (Efrem Ramirez).

Zack, on the other hand, has been a total slacker, and he’s still working as a box boy. But when the store hires a gorgeous new cashier named Amy (Jessica Simpson), Vince and Zack become bitter rivals for her affection. They try their best to impress Amy, but only succeed in becoming complete dorks.

Zack goes so far as to try to beat Vince at his own game — trying to be the next “Employee of the Month”. Let the wacky hijinks begin…zzzzzz…

This storyline was better done in Dumb and Dumber, and unfortunately, Simpson has lost what little allure she had in the sorry Dukes of Hazzard. This movie flatlines on every level.
